Love Checking Things off the List

Things that have become our routine...
It's scary to think about how our lives have changed since January. Dumpster diving for boxes has become a regular Saturday adventure, in addition to the bi-weekly trips to see the guy at Goodwill. Craigslist has become our means of selling off unwanted items.
The wonderment of the infamous "car basket" keeps the little one going...because she knows that it exists and is so excited to find out what is in it. (It's a big basket I put together containing surprise art projects, toys, stuffed animals, sticker, games...all the things a five year old would need on a thirty hour car trip.) I should start selling these kits.
We have a permanent "box fort" in our living room. We talk with Dad on speaker phone nightly, which consists of more laughter than actual conversation. We spend evenings watching movies because her toys are packed. (She's really into Annie at the moment.)
As my five year old stated one Saturday afternoon, "I want my old life back." Although things are not entirely bad, I have to say that I agree.

Packing
Happy Birthday Dad!
I have had a very productive day! For once. I planned the going away/bday party for K. And sold her playset for cash. Gotta love Craigslist. We have officially packed two rooms. Thanks to my helpers. I dread packing the basement.
One more month to go! Thirty days and counting.
We have decided on Oakdale, as long as we have a pool. We heard the summer's are brutally hot. Good. I can't wait.
We have decided to leave for our trip the day after Easter. I plan to post updates as we go using G's wonderous IPhone, which I will have to sneak to use while he is asleep.
