We are still here...

Yes, we are still here. Summer has come and gone. School is back in session. (Kat is in second grade and I am in third).  Just cleaning up the ole YouTube website, privatizing.  We had fun watching these old videos. I promise to update soon.  The tomato season is coming to an end, and that means our adventures are just beginning (again).  This month we plan to visit Santa Cruz for Halloween, and Napa just for fun. Stay tuned for those pictures.

It's Official...We Own a Second Grader!

Today was the first day of second grade.  I can't believe it.  Here's the proof.

And as promised, here are a few pictures from a day in San Fran and the ball game.

A Busy Summer...quickly coming to an end

What have we been up to? Last week, Kat and I drove down to spend a few days in San Diego. (It was so hot!)  We went to Sea World and Coronado Beach.  Here are pics from that trip.

Then this week, we spend two days in San Francisco (where it was freezing! 50 degrees)
Kat made a movie at the San Fran Zeum Museum.  That place is so cool. I highly recommend it for anyone! Kat (and I) made clay figures from scratch, then made the stop motion claymation movie.  Here it is.

Next week we have box tickets to the SF Giants game.  Stay tuned for pictures.

Santa Cruz

Last weekend, we did a quick day trip to Capitola and Santa Cruz.  We were mildly disenchanted by Capitola for two reasons, one there was a car show in town and it was soooo loud and not very relaxing and two, the beach was covered in kelp and beach flies.  We are willing to give it another chance again one day. We've heard great things about it.
We then picked up our towels and headed to Santa Cruz for dinner and to stroll the boardwalk.  Being a huge Lost Boys fan, I had to check it out.  I was so excited to hear that on June 30th, Corey Feldman will perform with his band, and open for the re-showing of his movie "The Lost Boys" at the 100th anniversary of the boardwalk in Santa Cruz, at the actually location of the carnival scene. And it's all free. Here's the link. Wish a few girls from Jr. High were around...they would totally go with me. (Ha ha!)
Here are the pictures. After dinner, this crazy fog came rolling in, out of nowhere. Creepy!

The Party!

Well, because we had softball games every Saturday, we had to wait until last weekend to have the party. Here are pics from that fun day.  One thing we realized....we like to bowl!

The misspelled sign! or the sign was really for a registered nurse named Kathy?
