Yosemite for Mother's Day
On Friday, we left to visit Tenaya Lodge, located at the south entrance of Yosemite. It was an amazing drive. (We couldn't see much b/c it was dark, but it was through valleys, orchards, hills, and twisty mountain roads.) We all felt a little sick, not sure if it was from the elevation or the winding roads. On Saturday morning we left for Yosemite. Our first stop was the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. It was crowded, but I am sure that was nothing compared to what it's like during the busy season. We then went to Glacier Point to see the Half Dome, many waterfalls and the amazing view. It was a hike...and quite the drive. After spending the entire day there, we went back to the lodge for a swim. On Sunday, I was treated to an amazing brunch and an afternoon by the pool. It was a very relaxing weekend.
